About The Bread Water Collective

As they say, life is not a bed of roses. There are good times, and there are bad times. It is a natural part of living. It is also said that misfortunes never come singly – a proverb that, in our case, became all too real.

So, what do you do after an unbelievable amount of bad luck? We narrowed it down to two options: playing the lotto or opening that webshop we had always talked about – the odds for success are apparently the same. 

We chose the latter; chose to use creativity against hardship. The ideas were already in our piles of notebooks, and thus, The Bread Water Collective was established.

Founded out of necessity, it seemed fitting to name the collective after basic things for survival: Bread and water. But of course, beings need more than that for living. Empathy, for one thing, is also a necessity, and how do you cultivate this? By sharing, we would say. And that is what we wish to do with our work at the collective. 

In our shop, you will find things made to foster new lines of thought – pieces touching upon the fun, the weird, and the strangeness of living.
